First elected in 2006, she served two terms before returning in 2023 as the first woman to overcome term limits. Danielle has held key leadership roles on committees including Appropriations, Redistricting, and Performance Audit, and today serves on Education, Natural Resources, and Retirement Systems. She is recognized as a champion for working families, open government, civil liberties, and economic freedom. Danielle and her husband Tom live in Lincoln’s East Campus neighborhood with their two children.
