Meet Danielle

 

Senator Danielle Conrad is a civil rights attorney who was elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2006, 2010, and 2022. Senator Conrad has a reputation for being a hard worker and someone who reaches across party lines. She has been selected by her peers to serve in numerous leadership roles including eight years on the Appropriations Committee, Redistricting Committee, Committee on Committees, Legislative Performance Audit Committee, and Chair of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Task Force.

Senator Conrad was re-elected in 2022 and was the first woman to beat term limits in Nebraska. She is the senior member of the Nebraska Legislature and headed into her 12 th year of service. She is presently a member of the Education Committee, Natural Resources Committee, and Retirement Systems Committee.

Senator Conrad is best known as a champion for working families, open government, civil liberties, and economic freedom. Senator Conrad is originally from Seward Nebraska, attended country school in Staplehurst and graduated from Seward Senior High School. She then earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Her professional experience as a State Senator, public interest attorney, nonprofit executive, political consultant, and ballot initiative expert has established her as a thought leader in Nebraska politics. Her advocacy has been acknowledged by a host of awards and recognitions, and she is a highly sought after public speaker and newsmaker. Senator Conrad is married and has two children.
